As I hold a cut stone in my hand, I turn inward and seek a way to create a setting that enhances and honors the stone’s long and sometimes chaotic journey. It is a great joy when my work melds with the innate beauty of a stone, a treasure of creation more ancient than mankind. The Pacific Northwest blesses me with endless inspiration. Mountains, forests and clouds floating above the water provide continuous shapes and forms to ignite my creative process.
My ability to present these gifts of nature in a setting that others might wear and share their wonder is my greatest gift, and finding new materials, my greatest joy.
